BUMPS is a pre-natal class for pregnant women using the Pilates Reformer beds.  There is an extra charge for members however you receive a free first up trial visit.  You must call and book prior to your first visit on 0412 297 057.

 

GUESTS REDUCED PRICE CASUAL members may bring a guest to casual classes for a discounted price - $15 Adult, $10 Concession.   Guests must be accompanied by the member.

 

AGE LIMIT Only people of 16 years and over are allowed to use Re-Creation’s facilities on a casual basis (other than crèche, and school holiday programs). Membership is available to 13 – 17 year olds with written consent from a parent or guardian.

Class Descriptions

Fitness classes are a motivating and productive part of your club membership.  Re-Creation offers the largest variety of fitness classes in Australia and we encourage our members to cross train by trying as many different classes as possible.  Please remember that 'It's your workout' so exercise at your own pace and never try to keep up with a class that's too advanced for your present fitness capacity.  You should always work at a comfortable but invigorating level and never feel distressed or over worked.  Drink bottles and towels are compulsory in all cycle classes

 

ABS BLITZ               

A 30 minutes abdominal class that will work all areas of your tummy including important core work

 

BELOW THE BELT       

A 30 minutes lower body conditioning class that focuses on butts, thighs and hips

 

BOX N KICK                    

This is a high powered circuit workout which combines modified boxing training techniques with strength and aerobic conditioning.

 

FREESTYLE 30         

A half hour of hi-lo aerobics featuring combinations that are challenging yet easy to master; a great 30 minute alternative to Body Attack

 

DANCE FITNESS      

You will learn basic dance moves from various genres and compose them into short routines.  All levels welcome

 

KETTLE TRX                             

A functional fitness class that features the unique weight training devices, the kettlebells, along with TRX training
 

PILATES ESSENTIAL MAT

A popular body conditioning system of centering the body, releasing stress and strengthening abdominal Muscles. Correct breathing and refining the mechanics of respiration are essential to this technique.  Class is suitable for beginners and intermediate level participants.

 

PILATES POWER MAT

Take the exercises and principles you learned in your  Essential Mat class to challenging new levels. We suggest that participants complete 10 Essential mat classes prior.

 

REFORMER ADVANCED                 

A Pilates class using a Reformer as classically developed by the creator of the progamme. This class is not suitable for people without Reformer Basic (or general) experience, and features advanced exercise routines.

 

REFORMER BASIC                   

This class is performed on a classic Pilates device called a Reformer. We ask that you have undertaken at least 10 Essential Mat classes before attending this class to gain a greater understanding of Pilates concepts involved.

 

RESULTS                                                 

A freestyle class featuring step combinations alternated with sculpting intervals using hand weights. This class has been one of ReCreation’s most popular classes for years now.

 

SPIN                                       

Stationary indoor cycling class that is a high calorie consumer. Classes go for 45 minutes unless specified.

 

QUICK SPIN                                           

A 30 minute spin class for those short of time but with calories to burn! Participants are asked to do their own stretches afterwards

 

TAI CHI EXPERIENCED & TAI CHI BEGINNERS                               

This traditional form of exercise from Ancient China has proven to be beneficial for improving range of motion, strength, and improved relaxation levels.

 

YOGA                                      

Flexibility training with a strength edge, each of our Yoga instructors has their own particular style. Try various classes to find the one that suits you best.

 

YOPILO                                                     

YopiloTM is a unique combination of Yoga postures, Pilates exercises, strength work, stretch and relaxation. It is a moving meditation that you will want to make a permanent part of your routine.

 

YOGALATES                                           

A unique combination of Yoga and Pilates principals.  All the rage in Hollywood.

 

ZUMBA                                   

It’s all the rage…from Hollywood to Europe, people from all cultures are doing Zumba. Recently featured on TV, this is a mixture of dance and sculpting steps derived from Meringue, Salsa, Reggae, Hip Hop, Mambo, Rumba, Flamenco and Calypso.

 

MAXXFIT ATHLETIC PERFORMANCE

Based on off season functional training for professional athletes. Sessions are always challenging, varied and fun with a mix of cardio and strength training.  Be prepared to work outside your comfort zone and take yourself to a level of fitness you could only dream about previously!

 

MAXXBOXX

A functional fitness boxing work out to take you to the edge! Cutting edge training concepts and a top work out.

 

KIDS R GO
A 45 minute class for kids aged 8 - 13 years. Incorporating key elements of fitness with fun to develop and improve co-ordination, balance, strength, flexibility and movement. BodyAttack is a high-energy interval training class that combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises. Dynamic instructors and powerful music motivate everyone towards their fitness goals - from the weekend athlete to the hard-core competitor! Not for the Faint Hearted!

 

BodyCombat is a fiercely energetic program that is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi and Muay Thai. Bodypump is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls.
