BUMPS is a pre-natal class for pregnant women using the Pilates Reformer beds.  There is an extra charge for members however membership receive a 10% discount  You must call and book prior to your first visit on 0412 297 057.

 

GUESTS REDUCED PRICE CASUAL members may bring a guest to casual classes for a discounted price - $15 Adult, $10 Concession.   Guests must be accompanied by the member.

 

AGE LIMIT Only people of 16 years and over are allowed to use Re-Creation’s facilities on a casual basis (other than crèche, and school holiday programs). Membership is available to 13 – 17 year olds with written consent from a parent or guardian.

Class Descriptions

Fitness classes are a motivating and productive part of your club membership.  Re-Creation offers the largest variety of fitness classes in Australia and we encourage our members to cross train by trying as many different classes as possible.  Please remember that 'It's your workout' so exercise at your own pace and never try to keep up with a class that's too advanced for your present fitness capacity.  You should always work at a comfortable but invigorating level and never feel distressed or over worked.  Drink bottles and towels are compulsory in all cycle classes

 

ABS BLITZ               

A 30 minutes abdominal class that will work all areas of your tummy including important core work

 

BELOW THE BELT       

A 30 minutes lower body conditioning class that focuses on butts, thighs and hips

 

BOX N KICK                    

This is a high powered circuit workout which combines modified boxing training techniques with strength and aerobic conditioning.

 

FREESTYLE 30         

A half hour of hi-lo aerobics featuring combinations that are challenging yet easy to master; a great 30 minute alternative to Body Attack

 

DANCE FITNESS      

You will learn basic dance moves from various genres and compose them into short routines.  All levels welcome

 

INDOOR BOOTCAMP 

Drills, cardio and strength work make up this varied, exciting and fun class. Improve and challenge your overall health and fitness in an army fitness style setting.
 

KETTLEBELL FOR FITNESS

Learn the techniques of handling and working the kettlebells to sculpt, firm and shape the body you are after! Features a 15 minute ab workout at the end.
 

PILATES ESSENTIAL MAT

A popular body conditioning system of centering the body, releasing stress and strengthening abdominal Muscles. Correct breathing and refining the mechanics of respiration are essential to this technique.  Class is suitable for beginners and intermediate level participants.

 

PILATES POWER MAT

Take the exercises and principles you learned in your  Essential Mat class to challenging new levels. We recommend that participants complete 10 Essential mat classes prior.

 

MVe CHALLENGE

This MVe class is for those experienced with the MVe Chair. As the class features advanced and challenging exercises, we ask that participants have already experienced other MVe classes beforehand.
 

MVe PILATES                 

A new dimension of fitness Pilates. Using a modern version of the Wunda chair, this class takes your Pilates experience to a new level. It is recommended that participants have experienced 6 Essential Mat classes before attending. Tokens are required for this class.

 

MVe SCULPT          

A faster paced class than MVe Pilates, using light hand weights and other strengthening exercises for a complete body workout. All MVe classes are 1 hour. Tokens are required for  this class.

 

REFORMER ADVANCED                 

A Pilates class using a Reformer as classically developed by the creator of the progamme. This class is not suitable for people without Reformer Basic (or general) experience, and features advanced exercise routines.

 

REFORMER BASIC                   

This class is performed on a classic Pilates device called a Reformer. We ask that you have undertaken at least 10 Essential Mat classes before attending this class to gain a greater understanding of Pilates concepts involved.

 

XCEL  XTREME                         

Motivating basic training class using the TRX suspension system, kettlebells and boxing bags.  TRX was designed for Navy Seal training and is now taking the fitness world by storm. With the straightforward cardio drills, the kettles and boxing combined, you have a highly effective and totally unique class!

 

RESULTS                                                 

A freestyle class featuring step combinations alternated with sculpting intervals using hand weights. This class has been one of ReCreation’s most popular classes for years now.

 

S & M (Spin & MVe)

30minutes of Spin followed by 30 minutes of challenging MVe core exercises. Please arrive early to set up your bike and chair. Bring a sweat towel.
 

SPIN                                       

Stationary indoor cycling class that is a high calorie consumer. Classes go for 45 minutes unless specified.

 

QUICK SPIN                                           

A 30 minute spin class for those short of time but with calories to burn! Participants are asked to do their own stretches afterwards

 

KETTLE TRX                             

A functional fitness class that features the unique weight training devices, the kettlebells, along with TRX training

 

TAI CHI & TAI CHI BEGINNERS                               

This traditional form of exercise from Ancient China has proven to be beneficial for improving range of motion, strength, and improved relaxation levels.

 

YOGA                                      

Flexibility training with a strength edge, each of our Yoga instructors has their own particular style. Try various classes to find the one that suits you best.

 

YOPILO                                                     

YopiloTM is a unique combination of Yoga postures, Pilates exercises, strength work, stretch and relaxation. It is a moving meditation that you will want to make a permanent part of your routine.

 

YOGALATES                                           

A unique combination of Yoga and Pilates principals.  All the rage in Hollywood.

 

ZUMBA                                   

It’s all the rage…from Hollywood to Europe, people from all cultures are doing Zumba. Recently featured on TV, this is a mixture of dance and sculpting steps derived from Meringue, Salsa, Reggae, Hip Hop, Mambo, Rumba, Flamenco and Calypso.

 

BOXING 100

A good old fashioned timer paced box circuit with the added challenge of the ³100² concept. Every 15 or 10 minutes the instructor will round everyone up to do 100 reps of one exercise. A great way for you to measure your fitness: so you get through 60? Next week you aim for 65! BYO gloves and / or inners.

RAISE THE BARRE

Based upon American style Barre3 and other ballet/Pilates mixes, you will build strength, stability and coordination levels. The class features the discipline and inspiration of classical ballet in a fitness class context.

 

 

 

BodyAttack is a high-energy interval training class that combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilization exercises. Dynamic instructors and powerful music motivate everyone towards their fitness goals - from the weekend athlete to the hard-core competitor! Not for the Faint Hearted!

 

BodyCombat is a fiercely energetic program that is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi and Muay Thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model instructors strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.

 

Bodypump is the original barbell class that strengthens your entire body. This 60-minute workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight-room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Great music, awesome instructors and your choice of weight inspire you to get the results you came for – and fast!

 

BodyStep is an energising step workout that makes you feel liberated and alive. Using a height-adjustable step and simple movements on, over and around the step you get huge motivation from sing-a-long music and approachable instructors. Cardio blocks push fat burning systems into high gear followed by muscle conditioning tracks that shape and tone your body.

 

 

 

A free flow pre-choreographed mind body workout that focuses on  movement to music. Flexibility and core stability exercises are included drawing from disciplines like Pilates, Qi Gong, ballet  and modern dance.

 

The ultimate workout for the new millennium.  Using individual punch bags this class teaches punch/kick techniques and is high energy and motivating – great for men and women equally. BYO gloves.
